Operation Marry Me Military - Craven County

About Operation Marry Me Military

Operation Marry Me Military started in 2011 in Brunswick County with the dream of giving back to the military community.  Alecia Geddings of Oak Island Photography & Weddings announced her Brunswick wedding and it took off from there.  Before she knew it, she had volunteers to coordinate weddings in five different counties throughout North Carolina, all of them on November 11th, Veterans Day.

We're excited to bring the movement to Craven County this year!  Bob and Amanda Mackowski of Open Aperture Photography are proud to arrange this year's event in coordination with Tryon Palace.

We've brought together some of the finest wedding vendors in Craven County and Eastern North Carolina for this wonderful event that will be held November 11th at Tryon Palace's History Center.
2012 Winners

Congratulations to our winners:  Sgt. Dustin McDaniel and Michelle Johnson of Jacksonville, NC!

Sgt. McDaniel has been based at Camp Lejeune for the past nine years.  Dustin and Michelle have known each other since 2007 and have dated for a year.  He proposed to her in April at his homecoming from Afghanistan.

How to Apply

The application deadline has passed for 2012.  For future reference, you can find the application form here:  Fill out this form to apply for Operation Marry Me Military.

All applicants must be willing to be in any county in North Carolina on November 10-13, 2012.  Winners will be assigned a county, so just because you're based in Craven County or nearby doesn't mean that's the wedding you'll win.

Winners must not already be married and must prove their status as "single" prior to the wedding.
